Haha, neat party stuff. I should have asked around what parties were on (even if I wouldn’t be invited 😉 ), but I was too tired on Thursday it seemed since I went to bed early.
Looks like you both had a good time 😀 hope you get all the interesting talks written up if there is anything worth going over in detail.
How did you like the Visual Staging tutorial? I left with one more hour to go because I came to the conclusion that storyboarding would be more cost-effective. Also, when you’re in a recording studio at $$$/minute, you don’t have ample amounts of time to be asking the actors questions about their characters. All of that should have been sent beforehand in the prep notes.
Still, my opinion may be thus because I’ve been a director before and this tutorial was a bit of a review.
GameDev will have more detailed write-ups and some, as I figured, like the Portal session, will be covered by other news outlets. We’ll have the interviews we did up shortly on GameDev.Net. One of the CEO’s we interviewed is a game writer who started his own development studio.
